ABOUT ARDSHEALACH SMOKEHOUSE

We are a small family run business on the beautiful Westcoast of Scotland in a village called Glenuig. We specialise in producing quality Scottish smoked salmon along with other quality smoked foods.

The salmon that we use for smoking is brought up in Scotland and comes from a small sustainable salmon farms along the Scottish West Coast and the Outer Hebrides. There, no antibiotics, no growth promotors and no antifoulants are used to treat the salmon, keeping it as healthy and natural as possible. This is how we love it, a pure quality to start with.

As we are dedicated to the Scottish traditional smoking method, we only add sea salt, a pinch of sugar, and the lovely smoky taste of our whisky barrel oak chips. The salmon will be smoked in our traditional kiln and given as much time as needed to be enhanced in our unique smoky flavour.

With the right timing of our traditional smoking methods and the right quantity of salt, sugar and whisky barrel oak chips, we ensure that our products withhold an outstanding quality taste.

All our smoked foods are produced in small batches so that everything is kept fresh. Everything is handcrafted in our smokery and requires a lot of skill and patience. Many of our smoked foods have won great-taste awards, which has given us the motivation to further strive for perfection

Furthermore, we also specialise in smoked meats, smoked cheeses and other smoked fish so that we have something for everyone. No matter what you choose from our wide selection of smoked delicacies, we have something for every foodie or gourmet.
